HFMD

A piece of good news (but that's because I didn't mention the bad one in the first place). My daughter Yu Wen has recovered from Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD).

It happened two Sundays ago (13 April) when we had our regular family get-together. As usual, the more enthusiastic ones are the kids and you know kids, sometimes they share more than just toys and get overly intimate. We didn't know until one of her cousins was diagnosed positive for HFMD and immediately the next day, Yu Wen developed a fever, and four days later, she was so lethargic that her head would find the nearest surface to rest on. She stopped drinking milk, refused to drink water, and didn't even want to look at her porridge.

Fortunately, according to Dr Elizabeth Khor, who is based in Paragon medical centre, it was a mild case and true enough, Yu Wen was her usual self one day after she developed the ulcers and rashes. I think Dr Khor is a very caring paediatrician, because so far, after going through 3 PDs, she is the only one who bothered to call twice over the phone to check on us. She also waived her consultation fees on one of the visits on a Saturday.

I know this sounds weird because talking about kids and paediatricians seem to be more prevalent among mothers, but hey, I'm actually a house-husband who's doing part-time wedding photography!

Talking about that, here's some pictures to share.
