This is a special wedding reception shoot for me because all along, I've been liaising with the bride's mum, Regina, because the bride Davina lives and works in Australia, together with her then boyfriend, Tony.
It's a joy working with Regina because of her bubbly personality and her ability to plan execute the plan for the wedding reception, despite the fact that she too, spent most her time in China. She booked my services for both her daughters, the other being Deborah, whose wedding ceremony is in August 2008.
Davina's is a really simple affair, as they were married in Australia 2 weeks before. Before the banquet actually started, we took one hour to have a photo shoot in Tanjong Pagar area, on one very very hot afternoon. It's a breeze to photograph them, maybe because they have already gone through 1 engagement session and wedding day down under. However, the heat meant we were literally hoping for some breeze.
A good thing about this weather is the light and shadows are so distinct that they gave me room to experiment with drawing of the light (photography).
