Hit & Miss

I mentioned I missed my daughter's debut as a little green leaf at her school performance. My wife told me that the moment the curtain was drawn open, and Yu Wen saw the crowd, she immediately went backstage and sat on the teacher's lap throughout the song, except for the finale when she rejoined the group.

Not much of a photographer, nonetheless my wife managed to capture some nice moments. With a bit of photoshop, one of the images still comes out nice.

The other event which I didn't miss was my son's first month party. Had a nice high-tea buffet at Lao Beijing, Tiong Bahru Plaza branch, with close friends and relatives. And then there was the customary flower bath for the 1-month-old baby.

Yin/Yang

There is a joke that says if you want an Italian to stop talking, you just have to tie up his hands.

Even though Bernardo doesn't have his hands tied, he comes across to me as a gentle giant (because he's tall) of few words. His wife, Endiana, is the more gregarious one who seems to be the live wire of the any group she belongs to. Opposites attract, and it's such a good match. Otherwise if two of them insist of talking at the same time, there wouldn't be much of a conversation, isn't it?

Macau 3

I felt fulfilled after the shoot in Macau, because I felt that it was a good trip with some fabulous photos of an awesome couple.

I can't wait to go back to another country with lots of heritage. Think China, India, Mongolia or even Philippines. I am a big fan of Asia and not only because its scenery (IMO) is spectacular, the food agreeable, it is also within easy reach. Instead of spending 10 hours on the plane flying to Europe, I can just fly for 5 hours, and spend the remaining 5 fooling around with my kids at home.

Australia and Europe sell, but I'd love to advocate something I like and believe in. It's almost as fun as the photo shoot itself.

This is probably one of the most photographed landmark in Macau.
And this picture helps explains why I want to shoot at Macau.

Macau 2

Contrary to what most people think, Macau is more than just casinos.
It has a long and colourful history, one wreaks of Chinese and Portuguese heritage, and a study of contrast of old and new.

The first time I went to Macau was 3 years ago, with my wife. At that time, I saw the potential in this tiny ex-colony, and fortunately Regina and JW saw it too.
